Kaufmann's Posographe - 1920's Photographic Aid
Rare piece of photographic history. A good opportunity to brush up on your french too.
Kaufmann’s Posographe: essentially a pocket-sized mechanical calculator invented back in the 1920s to aid quality photography. Measuring 13x8cm and crammed with tiny details, the device allowed photographers to approximate the exposure values they needed by simply sliding around six small pointers. Beautiful and useful. Bravo.
